Taiwan | The Control Yuan publishes 2017 Annual Report

As the nation’s top government watchdog, the Control Yuan continued throughout 2017 to utilize its authority to safeguard the rights and interests of the people and ensure honest and able government.

In total, the CY received 15,128 petitions from citizens and issued 313 investigation cases during the year, with corrective measures carried out in 99 cases and impeachments in 27 cases. The report also presents 6 investigation cases into 3 categories: reducing public expenditures, upholding discipline and safeguarding human rights.

The report is launched in both English and Spanish and can be downloaded on the CY website.
