Taiwan | The Control Yuan published 2016 Annual Report

In the past year of 2016, continuously with its constitutional powers, the Control Yuan (CY) maintains its independent and impartial position, and is meticulous in its approach to bringing overall improvement to government, protecting human rights, and promoting good governance for the Republic of China (Taiwan). In June 2017, the CY presented the Annual Report of 2016. The report shows the details about the CY’s achievements and its diligent works in the past operational year.

To sum up our works last year, the CY issued 275 investigation reports, with corrective measures carried out in 82 cases and impeachment in 59 cases. The report also presents 6 investigation cases into 3 categories: reducing public expenditures, upholding discipline and safeguarding human rights.

The report is launched in both English and Spanish, in hopes of promoting exchanges and mutual understandings with our IOI allies. The electronical copies can be downloaded on the CY website.
