NETHERLANDS | Save the Date! Poldershop: "Ombudsman tools - What are they and how do you use them?"

On Friday 1 November 2019 the office of the Ombudsman of the Netherlands will organize a Poldershop on how ombudsman assess the actions of government. Some ombudsman refer to the law, others to human rights treaties and still others have their own list of norms. Most of them use a combination of the three. But how do ombudsman decide what to use and how do they use these criteria to come to their conclusions and recommendations? Your knowledge and experience that you will share during the Poldershop will be used as input for the IOI best practice paper on this topic.

The ombudsman of the Netherlands especially invites the ombudsman to come to this Poldershop to share their views and best practices. the office would also like to invite one  co-worker to join the Poldershop.

The Poldershop will take place in The Hague on Friday 1 November 2019.

On the evening of Thursday 31 October there will be an informal dinner to which all participants are cordially invited.
