Kenya | Nyeri Forum Enlightens Members of the Public on Role of Commission

Residents of Nyeri County had the opportunity to interact with the Commission and get to understand its mandate in fostering administrative justice in the public sector.

The exhibition event was under the umbrella of the 6th Annual Conference of Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices held in Nyeri town to mark six years since the establishment of the bodies.The Forum brings together constitutional commissions and other offices established under the Constitution in an effort to jointly advance good governance and accountability in the country.

The conference, which brought together various actors and experts, as well as members of the public took place on December 6, 2017, and involved the various entities exhibiting what they do as well as panel presentations on diverse topics. The theme of the conference was “Five years of devolution: the gains, challenges and lessons learnt.”

Members of the public who visited the Commission’s had an opportunity to learn about its mandate and achievements. The Commission has a desk at the Nyeri Huduma Centre to serve residents of the county and neighbouring ones.
