Dans un rapport publié le 7 novembre 2014, le Protecteur du citoyen du Québec recommande que tout enfant de 6 à 16 ans domicilié au Québec ait accès à l’éducation publique, peu importe son statut d’immigration ou celui de ses parents. Cette mesure est non seulement dans l’intérêt des enfants, mais aussi dans celui de la société puisque la scolarisation contribue indéniablement à l’intégration dans la collectivité.

La Defensora de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes, Analía Colombo, presentó una propuesta a la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Provincia de Santa Fe para que “arbitre los medios y de las instrucciones pertinentes a los jueces del fuero penal, civil y comercial que tengan que ordenar desalojos de un inmueble o terreno ocupado por familias en las que convivan personas menores de 18 años y a su vez para que pueda convocar a los organismos nacionales, provinciales y municipales en vías de buscar una solución, con el primer decreto de trámite, ya sea civil o penal”.
