Programa SYT en Viena – El I.I.O. financió nueve becas
La Secretaría General del I.I.O., con sede en Viena, organizó por segunda vez el curso de formación Sharpening Your Teeth (Afilando los dientes) para el personal de las instituciones de ombudsman. Al igual que el año pasado el curso estuvo dirigido por el Ombudsman de Ontario, André Marin y su adjunta Barbara Finlay.

Reminder for regional subsidies 2013
In its efforts to further increase the regional impact of the IOI, the members of the IOI Board of Directors decided at their Wellington meeting in November 2012 to once again make regional subsidies available to IOI members. Institutions interested in applying for a regional subsidy have to submit their project proposal to the IOI General Secretariat by 25 February 2013.

La situación de vulnerabilidad en la que se encuentran los migrantes es extrema, sobre todo, ante casos de secuestro en los que se viola su dignidad personal y los derechos inherentes a ésta. Con el informe se busca advertir sobre la dimensión actual del secuestro de migrantes y evaluar las acciones implementadas para su atención y combate.

Les Ombudsmans et le personnel du Bureau néo-zélandais des Ombudsmans se réjouissent d’ores et déjà d’accueillir la communauté de l'Ombudsman en Nouvelle-Zélande en novembre 2012 à l’occasion du Congrès mondial de l’I.I.O. Les invitations officielles ainsi que les informations relatives à l’inscription seront envoyées d’ici quelques mois et le site Internet du congrès sera « en ligne » sous peu.
