La síndica ha querido mostrar su compromiso con la gente mayor en la ponencia inaugural de la VI Jornada que organiza el Movimiento para Detener el Maltrato a las Personas Mayores, que tiene la voluntad de hacer visible este fenómeno y trabajar para erradicarlo y fomentar el buen trato.

The 2023 Annual Report of the Commission Against Corruption of Macao was published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region on 12 June 2024. According to the report, the CCAC proactively seized the opportunities in the wake of the revival after the epidemic and sought improvement in corruption fighting, ombudsman actions and promotion and education.

Nearly 4,500 complaints about public services were made to the Office of the Ombudsman in 2023. Ombudsman, Ger Deering, has seen a 30% rise in the number of complaints to his Office in recent years, from 3,418 in 2020 to 4,465 last year.

Al estar próximos a finalizar el primer mes del año, la oficina de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Pasco exhortó al Gobierno Regional de Pasco a retomar el trabajo de las instancias de concertación de lucha contra la violencia hacia las mujeres e integrantes del grupo familiar. Mediante este pedido, se busca evitar repetir lo ocurrido en el 2023, en que la actividad de estos grupos de trabajo fue mínima, lo que dificultó la reducción de los índices de violencia en esta región.
