2016-06-22Hong Kong Ombudsman holds seminar on electronic road pricing
The Office of The Ombudsman held a seminar on electronic road pricing today to look at the Government's policy and measures for alleviating traffic congestion as well as details of the proposed electronic road pricing scheme. More than 60 Justices of the Peace (JPs) and Advisers of the Office attended the seminar and exchanged views with guest speakers from the Transport Department (TD) on the subject.

In a special report released on June 16, 2016, the Québec Ombudsman shed light on the difficulties tenants in private seniors’ residences experience in having their rights upheld when they have to face off against the owner in court. It issued seven recommendations aimed at giving these seniors a fair chance to defend their rights.
