IOI supports idea of establishing Ombudsman institution in Chile
During the last electoral campaign in Chile, the electoral programmes of both presidential candidates considered the establishment of an Ombudsman institution as one of the oldest and most important instruments for a modern democratic society. The IOI strongly supports the idea of establishing such an ombudsman institution and sent a letter of support to President Michelle Bachelet.

El IIO apoya firmemente la idea de dotar a Chile de una institución tan importante y envió una carta de apoyo a la creación de una Defensoría del Pueblo en Chile a la Presidencia de la República de Chile.

The 2020 Investigation examines what is known about suicide and self-harm by Western Australian children and young people, current strategic frameworks, and data obtained during the Ombudsman’s investigation.
