El área de Salud Mental de la Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación realizó durante los dos últimos años relevamientos sobre la práctica en salud mental que lleva adelante la agencia penitenciaria con las personas privadas de su libertad. El informe correspondiente de la Procuración Penitenciaria revela una preocupante descripción de la situación actual en los centros de detención federales.

La Defensoría del Pueblo de Santa Fe inauguró una nueva delegación del Centro de Asistencia a la Víctima en Vera
El Defensor del Pueblo de la provincia de Santa Fe, Raúl Lamberto, encabezó este martes el acto de inauguración de la nueva delegación del Centro de Asistencia a la Víctima y al Testigo del Delito (CAV) en la ciudad de Vera. La nueva delegación del CAV está ubicada en la Casa del Senado (José Houriet 1726), y funcionará de lunes a viernes de 7:30 a 13 hs. A su cargo estará una psicóloga, una abogada y una asistente social.

La Defensora NNyA de Santa Fe presente en la Audiencia por la designación del Defensor Nacional del Niño
La Defensora de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes de Santa Fe, Analía Colombo, participó este jueves de la Audiencia Pública realizada en la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación para debatir acerca de la modalidad de designación del Defensor del Niño, una figura legal creada en 2005 por la Ley de Protección Integral de los Derechos de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes (26.061) y su designación debía implementarse en el plazo de 90 días desde su entrada en vigencia.

Con la publicación de este nuevo informe anual 2016 del Registro Nacional de Casos de Tortura (RNCT) se cumplen 6 años desde su creación y puesta en funcionamiento. Los desafíos que se asumieron por parte de las tres instituciones que impulsaron su constitución y sostuvieron durante estos años la labor del Registro fueron varios y relevantes en el marco de la defensa de los derechos humanos de las personas que selectiva y discrecionalmente son capturadas por las distintas agencias del sistema penal.
