The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Niels Fenger, published a new article in the Danish Weekly Law Reports (Ugeskrift for Retsvæsen) on the Ombudsman’s role as protector of human rights. In the article, he analyses the overlap of human rights with the Ombudsman’s tasks.

"Increase in CPI Leads to Rise in GDP Per Capita" - Integrity Education for Future Generations to be Strengthened
Last year, Korea achieved its highest-ever ranking (30th) on the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) aims to maintain the upward trend through strengthened integrity education for future generations. ACRC to expand the inclusion of integrity content in elementary, middle, and high school textbooks, work with military academies, the Korea National Police University, and teachers’ colleges to make integrity lectures mandatory, and sign MOUs with major universities.

Serious shortcomings in the terminal and postoperative care of older people
Deputy-Ombudsman Maija Sakslin has solved several complaints related to the inhuman treatment of older people and the use of strong restrictive measures during physical pain or terminal care or after surgery. The Deputy-Ombudsman has drawn attention to the fact that the complaints mention the same serious shortcomings.
