El Inadi atenderá martes y jueves de 14 a 17 en la sede de la defensoría en Rosario
El defensor Raúl Lamberto y la delegada del Instituto Nacional contra la Discriminación, la Xenofobia y el Racismo (Inadi) en Santa Fe, Caren Schibelbein, se reunieron este martes en Rosario y acordaron que la oficina de atención comenzará la próxima semana. Destacaron que en un mismo edificio funcionarán oficinas de tres organismos dedicados a proteger los derechos fundamentales de las personas.

The Ombudsman for Children’s Office and the Children’s Hospital Group Board have come together with the three children’s hospitals; Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin; Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and the National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght Hospital to design and carry out a consultation process to capture the views of children, young people, their parents and hospital staff.

Recomendación por requisa en el CUD y en el CENS
El pasado 28 de julio aproximadamente a las 20 horas agentes penitenciarios pertenecientes a la División Control y Registros del Complejo Penitenciario Federal de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires realizaron una requisa sorpresiva en las instalaciones del Centro Universitario Devoto (CUD) y en el Centro Educativo de Nivel Secundario (CENS), fuera del horario de funcionamiento de estos espacios y en pleno receso invernal.

El Inadi atenderá en la sede rosarina de la Defensoría del Pueblo dos veces por semana
Las dos instituciones firmaron convenios de cooperación que permitirán que personal del organismo nacional tenga a partir de la próxima semana un espacio en la oficina de la defensoría para recibir denuncias vinculadas con actos discriminatorios, xenófobos o racistas en la ciudad y su zona de influencia.

Ombudsman sensitizes Police, immigration and Prisons Departments
The office of the Ombudsman organized a one day sensitization workshop as part of the Ombudsman’s preparations to visit prisons, police cells and other detention centers. The workshop was attended by fifty eight participants from the Police, Immigration and Prisons departments as well as staff of the Ombudsman and Press officers and was held at Senegambia Hotel on 10th August 2017.

Eight Per Cent Rise In Welsh NHS Complaints, New Ombudsman Figures Reveal
Complaints made to the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales about Welsh NHS bodies have increased by 8% over the past year, according to new figures. The Ombudsman, Nick Bennett, said the continued trend was concerning and called on the National Assembly for Wales to push forward with new Ombudsman legislation that will help drive up standards of public service delivery.

El Defensor del Pueblo (e.f.), Francisco Fernández Marugán, pide reforzar la protección de los niños y niñas víctimas de trata en el Día Mundial contra la Trata, establecido por Naciones Unidas. La Institución considera necesario elaborar un protocolo nacional para la detección y protección de víctimas de trata menores de edad en el que intervengan todas las entidades de protección de menores autonómicas.

Ombudsman publishes latest issue of Annual Report
The Ombudsman of Hong Kong released to the public her Annual Report 2017. The Report noted that most government departments are receptive to the recommendations for improvement made by the Office of The Ombudsman to address their inadequacies. The Report also highlighted the increasing number of complaints about access to information in the past few years. The number of related cases the Office received during the past year was at a record high.

Seimas Ombudsmen's Office publishes Annual Report 2016
The Seimas Ombudsmen's Office of the Republic of Lithuania has been defending human rights and freedoms and investigating complaints about the abuse of office by or bureaucracy of state and municipal officials and since 2014 has been monitoring human rights at places of detention. The Ombudsman Institution has now published its Annual Report of the year 2016, detailing its activities and initiatives.
