2014 marked 30 years of the Office of the Ombudsman in Ireland. As part of this anniversary, the Ombudsman's Office co-hosted a conference with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) on the topic of “Held to Account: Responsibility and Accountability in the Public Service”. Former IOI President, Dame Beverley Wakem, and newly elected second IOI Vicepresident and Ombudsman of Ireland, Peter Tyndall, were among the speakers.
