Ombudsman Thailand presents executive summary of Annual Report 2021
During the 2021 financial year, the Ombudsman received a total of 4,866 complaints. After fact-finding, decisions and recommendations to relevant government agencies were issued on 2,675 of these complaints. The remaining 2,191 complaints are still under investigation.

Whistleblower Awareness Day Acknowledges Employee Courage
March 24, 2022 is Whistleblower Awareness Day. It’s a day for recognizing how difficult and yet how important it is to speak up if you are concerned about a possible wrongdoing in your workplace. Saskatchewan’s Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner, Mary McFadyen said, “I want to acknowledge the role of whistleblowers, particularly in the public sector, for having the courage to speak up if they think something is seriously wrong at work.”

Las muertes bajo custodia son siempre responsabilidad del Estado
El 2 de marzo se desató un incendio en la Comisaría 1ª de la Policía Bonaerense en la Cuidad de Pergamino. En la celda colectiva donde ninguna persona debería haber estado detenida, porque es esa una función propia de la agencia penitenciaria, convivían 19 personas, todas ellas detenidas cautelarmente. Siete de ellas murieron. La Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación (PPN) viene alertando año tras año el incremento de la cantidad de personas detenidas en las cárceles federales argentinas, sobrepasando su capacidad de alojamiento declarada.
