Nova Scotia's highest court has reaffirmed the power of the provincial ombudsman's office to investigate allegations against government departments and agencies. In a decision, the Appeal Court ruled the Ombudsman's office has the authority to receive unredacted records from the Department of Health and Wellness, after the province had objected to releasing the documents in full.

She also emphasises the key role National Human Rights Structures, including Ombudsman institutions, play in monitoring and supervising human rights in AI systems.

Con la finalidad de informar acerca del trabajo institucional que se halla plasmado en el último Informe Anual 2018, el cual se presenta anualmente al poder legislativo nacional, el titular de la Procuración Penitenciaria analizó la situación actual de las cárceles federales. En cumplimiento de la ley 25.875, Francisco Mugnolo, aseguró que se recibió un total de 51.989 demandas de la población reclusa durante el año pasado.
