Deputy-Ombudsman criticises children's hearings at foreign missions
Deputy-Ombudsman Maija Sakslin said she was not convinced that children's rights, legal protection and best interests are implemented in hearings associated with family reunification applications at Finland's foreign missions. The Deputy-Ombudsman investigated the issue on her own initiative and found that questionable and incorrect procedures were in use.

The Dutch National Ombudsman, the Ombudsman for Children and the Ombudsman for Veterans present their Annual Report 2021
The Dutch National Ombudsman, the Ombudsman for Children and the Ombudsman for Veterans have today presented their Annual Report 2021 to the House of Representatives. In it, they note that the resignation of the Dutch government in early 2021, the March elections and the long process that followed in forming a government resulted in a year of government silence and official introspection.

In its efforts to further increase the regional impact of the IOI, the members of the IOI Board of Directors decided at their recent Board meeting in Vienna to continue the regional subsidy programme for the membership year 2017/2018. Ce 2 mai 2022, le Médiateur fédéral a rendu public son rapport annuel 2021 et l’a remis à la Chambre des représentants. L’institution a ouvert 8 202 dossiers en 2021, soit 20 % de plus par rapport à 2019. En 2021, 1 plainte sur 5 touchait encore à la crise sanitaire et les plaintes liées aux allocations de chômage restent toujours élevées.

Durante el encuentro, que se realizó en la sede de Adpra de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, el defensor santafesino Raúl Lamberto solicitó, con el respaldo de sus pares, que se restituyan todas las pensiones dadas de baja y que se derogue el decreto 432/97, para crear un protocolo donde se evalúe cada caso en particular y donde prime el principio de interpretación favorable del postulante a la pensión.
