Le 19 septembre 2025, l’Ombudsman de l’Ontario, Paul Dubé, a exhorté les gouvernements fédéral et provincial à prendre des mesures immédiates pour remédier aux conditions de vie inacceptables et dangereuses dans la Première Nation de Neskantaga, une communauté ojibwée éloignée située à près de 500 kilomètres au nord de Thunder Bay, et qui vit sous l’avis d'ébullition de l'eau le plus long de l’histoire du Canada.

On 19 September 2025, Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé called on federal and provincial governments to take immediate action to address the unacceptable and unsafe conditions in Neskantaga First Nation, a remote Ojibwe community located nearly 500 kilometres north of Thunder Bay, which is living under the longest boil-water advisory in Canadian history.
