New GANHRI Chairperson vows to defend national human rights institutions
Dr Freddy Carrión Intriago, Ombudsman of Ecuador, was elected to the role by GANHRI members through an online voting procedure that concluded on 27 October 2020. This election follows the end of Carlos Alfonso Negret Mosquera’s term as Ombudsman of Colombia and as former Chairperson of GANHRI since March 2019.

Protecteur du Citoyen à la DPJ : les intervenants doivent être bien formés et supervisés
Une mère porte plainte contre la Direction de la protection de la jeunesse ( DPJ ) qui a tardé à reconnaître qu’elle était victime de violence conjugale. L’intervenante responsable n’était pas formée pour intervenir en pareille situation. Depuis l’intervention du Protecteur du citoyen, l’intervenante a reçu une formation complète sur le sujet.

Nuevo edificio de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Rosario
El defensor del Pueblo de la provincia de Santa Fe, Raúl Lamberto, el gobernador de la provincia, Omar Perotti, y el intendente de Rosario, Pablo Javkin, inauguraron este jueves en Rosario un nuevo edificio de la Defensoría del Pueblo. La propiedad de 360 metros cuadrados está ubicada en calle Paraguay 756 y fue adquirida y refuncionalizada con fondos propios de la institución. Le permitirá brindar una atención de mayor calidad y mayor confort a la ciudadanía.
