La oficina de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Piura exhortó a las autoridades regionales a impulsar todas las acciones necesarias para proveer suficientes equipos de protección al personal sanitario, tras recibir quejas sobre la escasez de estos implementos. La falta de equipos de protección ha originado renuncias e, inclusive, el cierre de un establecimiento de salud, situación que pone en grave riesgo a la comunidad.
