Este 13 de octubre, el Centro de Asistencia a la Víctima y al Testigo del Delito cumple 3 décadas de vida. A lo largo de estos años el CAV, creado por ley provincial Nº 11202, se ha consolidado como una institución que brinda un conjunto de respuestas diferenciadas del resto de las organizaciones estatales. Su estructura, modo de funcionamiento y la interacción tanto con la gestión pública como con la administración de justicia, ha permitido un abordaje integral y una lectura compleja de las problemáticas con las que nos enfrentamos a diario.

England’s Health Ombudsman is urging Government and NHS leaders to prioritise timely treatment of people experiencing poor mental health and support the NHS workforce to deliver this.

Ombudsman celebrates 50 years with conference on the role of the Ombudsman in the defence of democracy and fundamental rights
On September 27, the Palácio de Vilalva in Lisbon hosted the conference “Five Decades of Freedom and Justice: Celebrating 50 Years of the Ombudsman and April 25”. The event, organized by the Ombudsman’s Office, marked the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of this institution in Portugal.

Taxpayers' Ombudsperson releases 2023–2024 Annual Report
Canada’s Taxpayers’ Ombudsperson, Mr. François Boileau, released his annual report, Fair Access to Service, which was tabled on 8 October 2024 in the House of Commons by Ms. Iqra Khalid, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue. The report provides an overview of the activities of the Office of the Taxpayers’ Ombudsperson between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

Forging connections in Red Deer
September was an eventful month for the Alberta Ombudsman’s office, highlighted by the release of their 57th Annual Report and a meaningful trip to Red Deer. Defensoría sensibiliza sobre los derechos de los NNA
Alrededor de 1500 personas sensibilizadas de las cuales 781 son estudiantes, 747 docentes y administrativos forman parte de una jornada de concienciación de la Defensoría del Pueblo sobre las leyes 285 de 2023 que crea el Sistema de Garantías y Protección Integral de los Derechos de la Niñez y la Adolescencia, al igual que la Ley 289 de marzo de 2024, la cual busca establecer los mecanismos para diagnosticar, prevenir, evitar y erradicar cualquier forma de maltrato psicológico, verbal o físico producido entre estudiantes.
