La inclusión laboral y social de personas con discapacidad es un desafío que enfrenta nuestra sociedad. Según datos de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo, en Argentina sólo el 25% de las personas con discapacidad tiene empleo. En este contexto, el Instituto de Inclusión Social de la Defensoría del Pueblo de la Provincia de Córdoba dirigida por Mario Decara, impulsa el Programa de Experiencia Laboral para la Inclusión Social de Personas con Discapacidad en el ámbito público.

Ombudsman’s Annual Report for 2024: Without dialogue and political will there can be no changes for the better
On 10 July 2025, Deputy Human Rights Ombudsman Ivan Šelih - who has been leading the Human Rights Ombudsman institution since the conclusion of Ombudsman Peter Svetina’s term on 24 February 2025 - and Deputy Ombudsman Dr. Dijana Možina Zupanc presented the 2024 Annual Report of the Human Rights Ombudsman to the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, MSc. On this occasion, they also presented her with the Annual Report of the National Preventive Mechanism.

The Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman releases an investigation report
The Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman investigated a complaint about a fall in the standard of care given to a young woman with complex medical needs when she turned 18. Through her childhood years, the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust delivered an effective care package to the young woman, who had learning difficulties and a life limiting illness.

Ombudsman as “clear mirror” of public administration commends public organisations and public officers who provided quality public service
At the 26th Presentation Ceremony of The Ombudsman’s Awards on 15 November 2023, the Ombudsman, Ms Winnie Chiu, presented the Grand Award to the Immigration Department, an Award for Public Organisation to the Efficiency Office and the Hospital Authority separately, and the Award on Mediation to the Chief Secretary for Administration’s Office. Individual Awards were also given to 62 public officers.
