On World Down Syndrome Day: Together Against Loneliness
On 20 March 2026, the Colourful as a Butterfly event took place in Krško to mark World Down Syndrome Day. The Human Rights Ombudswoman, Dr Simona Drenik Bavdek, addressed those present. She emphasised that this day provides an opportunity to reflect on the fundamental connectedness between people. She highlighted the importance of meeting and getting to know one another in order to build relationships, as this enables an understanding of an individual’s needs and creates space for support, assistance, and shared well-being.

Presentación del informe anual de 2025 del Defensor del Pueblo
El martes, el 24 de marzo de 2026, el Defensor del Pueblo, Ángel Gabilondo, ha registrado en las Cortes Generales el Informe anual de la actividad de la institución en 2025, y ha hecho entrega del mismo a la presidenta del Congreso de los Diputados, Francina Armengol. El Informe será entregado el próximo 9 de abril al presidente del Senado, Pedro Rollán, en el Palacio del Senado.

The Control Yuan convened its 2025 Annual Review Meeting on 2 February 2026, chaired by Acting President Lee Hung-chun. Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch took oath of his office on 4 March, 2026 as the 9th regular Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) of Pakistan for a four-year term. The oath was administered by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, at a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.
