Du 21 au 23 octobre 2025, l’AOMF a organisé à Rabat, au Maroc, une formation consacrée au thème « Vers une contribution institutionnelle du Médiateur à l’Examen Périodique Universel (EPU) ». Cette rencontre, destinée à renforcer le rôle des Médiateurs dans le système onusien de protection des droits de l’Homme, a été rendue possible grâce à l’accueil et à l’engagement logistique de l’Institution du Médiateur du Royaume du Maroc, membre de l’AOMF, qui a une nouvelle fois témoigné son attachement aux travaux de l’association. La réussite de cette rencontre est également le fruit du soutien de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), présente à l’événement.

Capacity Building through FOSPAH Collaboration
The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab has always placed great emphasis on creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment across its offices. In line with this commitment, a series of training sessions were organized in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) under the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.

On 4 June 2024, the Office of the Public Protector released a report on the investigations into administrative deficiencies relating to the processing of gender-based violence (GBV) related matters within the South African criminal justice system. The investigation emanates from the administrative challenges faced by the public, particularly women and children, in the South African criminal justice system identified by the Public Protector.

El Síndic pide a la Generalitat que revise la fecha de alta en la Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social de sus trabajadores
La institución del Síndic de Greuges ha tenido conocimiento de anomalías en las fechas de cotización de la vida laboral de empleados públicos de la Generalitat. A partir del análisis de las quejas recibidas, la institución ha constatado un decalaje temporal entre la fecha de inicio de la prestación de servicios en la Administración de la Generalitat y la fecha de alta en la Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social. La demora en el alta tiene efectos en las prestaciones del sistema, dado que reduce el período de cotización para la jubilación.

The Human Rights Defender watched the play "Alice in Wonderland" with the students of the Child and Family Support Center of Shirak Province
On June 8, the Human Rights Defender Ms. Anahit Manasyan paid a working visit to Shirak province. A tour was conducted on the premises of the Child and Family Support Center of Shirak province SNCO of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, where children in difficult life situations receive care and support. The Defender got acquainted with the children's living conditions, programs aimed at children's development, and inquired about their daily life.

Under the leadership of the esteemed Honorable Rita Gardiner, OBE, the Ombudsman serves as a government body that investigates complaints of maladministration against public authorities and institutions. It strives to improve the efficiency of public services while also educating individuals about their rights.

The Control Yuan publishes 2023 Annual report
With powers endowed by the Constitution and its additional articles, the Control Yuan exercises powers of impeachment, censure, correction, investigation, and audit, as well as receiving people’s complaints and conducting circuit supervision at local and central authorities. Recently, CY published the 2023 Annual Report of Control Yuan.

Ten students of Hamdard University became Brand Ambassadors for the Sindh Ombudsman Office
Honourable Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, chaired a workshop held on 29 May 2024 at Hamdard University, Karachi. Honorable Ombudsman Sindh addressed the large number of students and highlighted the key features of the Brand Ambassador Program, initiated through a regional subsidy of the IOI, with aims and objectives to disseminate the information about the role of the Ombudsman, promote civic responsibilities and to raise community outreach through students being inspiring future leaders.
