European Regional President Reinier van Zutphen discusses migration and asylum issues in Warsaw
The National Ombudsman of the Netherlands and European Regional President, Reinier van Zutphen, visited Warsaw last week. The aim of the visit was to talk to Frontex. Over the past years there have been many disturbing signals about pushbacks of migrants at the EU borders which sometimes resulted in people dying. Several National Ombudsman have addressed this in their own countries.

In a significant move to promote administrative justice and civic responsibilities, the Sindh Ombudsman has launched the 2nd Brand Ambassador Programme workshop at Sindh Madressatul Islam University on 28 July 2024. The programme, supported by the regional subsidy of the International Ombudsman Institute, aims to bridge the gap between the Ombudsman office and the community, fostering good governance, transparency, and accountability.

Mediator of the Kingdom of Morocco holds keynote speech at High-Level Panel at the UN

Capacitación sobre mediación en la Defensoría de San Juan
Integrantes del Servicio de Mediación y Conciliación de la Defensoría del Pueblo de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires porteña participaron de un taller en la institución de la provincia con el fin de compartir experiencias y herramientas y fortalecer las capacidades institucionales de dicha institución. La actividad se desarrolló el lunes 20 en el marco del proyecto “Abordaje de Conflictos con la Administración Pública”, que cuenta con el apoyo del Instituto Internacional del Ombudsman.
