CURAÇAO | Webinar on Ombudsman institution principles

The Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao invites you to a webinar dedicated to the Principles on the Protection and Promotion of the Ombudsman Institution (Venice Principles), which will take place on 16 April 2026 (4.00 PM GMT).

Ombudsman institutions play a fundamental role in strengthening democracy and the Rule of Law, ensuring transparent and accountable public administration and protecting and promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Participate in this webinar to discuss the role of Ombudsman institutions and the work of the Venice Commission to strengthen and consolidate them, with the presence of members of this advisory body of the Council of Europe.

Speakers at this webinar are the Secretary/Director of the Venice Commission, Simona Granata-Menghini, and Mónica Aralí Soto Fregoso, Justice of the High Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary of Mexico, Mexico’s full member before the Venice Commission, and Vice-President of the Sub-Commission on Ombudsman Institutions.
