ANGOLA | The Ombudsman of Justice granted a courtesy audience to the Ambassador of Cape Verde

Within the scope of the Institutional Cooperation existing between the Ombudsman of Justice of Cape Verde and the Ombudsman of Justice of Angola, the Honorable S.E. Florbela Araújo, granted a courtesy audience, on February 25th, to S.E. HE Jorge Figueiredo, Ambassador of Cape Verde, accredited in Angola, by occasion of the farewell to the end of the Mission of this Diplomat in Angola.

At this audience and following the meeting held with the Diplomat, the Honorable Ombudsman in monitoring her internal activities, in statements made to the National Press of Angola which foresees the expansion of three more (3) representations of the Ombudsman services, of the ten (10) already existing, within the framework of the program to disseminate the role and function of the Ombudsman, carried out by the Institution, clarified that the objective of expanding services is to awaken citizens to the importance of the work carried out in the various areas, with the essential to ensure the rights, guarantees and freedoms of citizens in accordance with existing national legislation in accordance with the provisions of Venice Principles and Paris Principles on the performance of Ombudsmen.
