Tanzania | Retired Judge Mwaimu appointed new Chair of CHRAGG

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr John Pombe Magufuli has appointed retired Judge Mathew Pauwa Mhina Mwaimu to chair the Commission on Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG).

Judge Mwaimu was appointed in October 2019 and was officially sworn in as the new Chairman of the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG) Tanzania on 4 November 2019 at a briefing ceremony for elective leaders held in the White House in Dar es Salaam.

Judge Mwimu was sworn in with the Vice Chairman, Mr Mohamed Khamis Hamad, and five other Commissioners.

Addressing the staff of the Commission at a briefing to welcome the elected officials, Judge Mwaimu called on all Commission staff to be well-coordinated in their daily work. "It is wonderful to have hard-working and united employees at work to bring good performance in the workplace," said Judge Mwimu
