The Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo published its Annual Report 2025, which provides a comprehensive overview of the human rights situation in Kosovo, as well as the work and impact of the Institution during the reporting year.
The report presents data on complains received and handled, alongside the Ombudsperson’s investigative work, recommendations, and ex.officio actions. It offers an analysis of key systemic issues affecting the protection and promotion of fundamental rights, including challenges related to the rule of law, good governance, access to justice, and non- discrimination.
Particular attention is given to the situation of vulnerable groups, including non-majority communities, children, persons with disabilities, and women. The report also reflects the Institution’s efforts in monitoring, advocacy, and engagement with public authorities to strengthen accountability and ensure the effective implementation of human rights standards.
The annual report is available in three languages. The English version can be accessed here.
