Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman is being presented the Annual Report by Ombudsman Syed Jamal Ud Din Shah
On 18 September 2021, Syed Jamalud din Shah, Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar, presented the Annual Report 2020 before the Hon'ble Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It was the 10th Annual Report of the esteemed organization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which ensures relief through administrative justice to the common citizen of the Province, without any charges.
During the period under review, the Office endeavoured to provide maximum relief to complainants in form of administrative justice to the general public of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who had approached this forum intending to seek justice against the alleged maladministration and incorrect actions by the Provincial Government Agencies.
Increased efforts were made to accelerate the disposal of complaints as well as to ensure compliance of the recommendations issued to the Agencies concerned, despite the fact that all official business were suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic. The Ombudsman is cognizant of the fact that institutional progress requires continuous raising of the efficiency bar and as a team the office is committed to these objectives.
During the period under review, efforts of the Ombudsman remained focused on capacity building of this institution for expeditious dispensation of justice. The Office initiated several measures for the promotion of institutional efficacy and effectiveness, like the issue of automation of complaints handling system was taken up with Science & Technology and Information Technology (ST & IT) Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Ombudsman expresses his satisfaction on the contribution of his team members, that almost 74.17 % cases resolved within the period under report and relief was provided to a large number of complainants, aggrieved of malpractices of Provincial Government agencies.
