Join the African Ombudsman Research Centre, the research and training arm of the African Ombudsman and Mediators' Association, for their special Ombudsman Day 2026 webinar "Innovating for the Future: Technology, Transparency and Accountability in Ombudsman Offices", which is organised in partnership with the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI).

Expanding options through responsible innovation—making Ombudsman institutions more accessible, transparent and accountable.

Join them to explore how responsible technology can strengthen access to Ombudsman services, digital case management, transparency, public reporting and institutional accountability.

Speakers

Ms Liiri Oja (Estonia) will discuss digital case management and responsible automation; Adv. Ofer Gelbart (Israel) will address technology for transparency and reporting; and Dra. Lutiana Valadares Fernandes Barbosa (Brazil) will speak about innovation for public accountability. Prof. Manoj Maharaj of the University of KwaZulu-Natal will facilitate the discussion, followed by a question-and-answer session.
