Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, Pakistan Achieves ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System Certification for Head Office and 39 Regional Offices of Ombudsman Punjab, Pakistan from SGS United Kingdom Limited along with accreditation body United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) against the Certification No. PK26/00000111
The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab achieved a significant institutional milestone by attaining ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from SGS United Kingdom Limited and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) through Certification No. PK26/00000111, strengthening its framework for information security, data/information protection, and cyber security.
The internationally recognised certification provides a systematic framework for identifying, managing and mitigating information-security risks, while supporting the continual improvement of institutional information-security practices. For the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, the Information Security Management system covers the Head Office and all 39 Regional Offices of the Ombudsman Punjab, Pakistan.
The certification encompasses key digital and information systems supporting the Office’s statutory mandate, including the Ombudsman Punjab Management Information System (OPMIS), 24/7 Helpline 1050, Ombudsman Punjab Typing Test System (OPTTS), in-house software development, testing, maintenance and quality assurance, ICT infrastructure, cloud-hosted services, electronic communications, networks and associated data/information and IT services.
Speaking at the ceremony marking the achievement, Ombudsman Punjab Ms. Ayesha Hamid appreciated the efforts behind strengthening the institution’s information-security systems and thanked SGS United Kingdom Limited for awarding the certification. Mr. Kaiser Saleem, Secretary, Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, also congratulated the IT Infrastructure & Development team and acknowledged its commitment and hard work.
SGS Pakistan Managing Director Mr. Usman Asif appreciated the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab for achieving ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System certification, saying the institution has secured an international standard for information security, data protection and cybersecurity.
Managing Director, Delta X, Pakistan, Mr. Siraj Ud Din congratulated the Ombudsman Punjab IT Infrastructure & Development team for this remarkable achievement.
The achievement reflects the Office’s continued efforts to align its institutional systems with internationally recognised standards and best practices, particularly in protecting information and strengthening the security of the digital infrastructure that supports public grievance redressal.
