AUSTRALIA | Can I talk about this? National Student Ombudsman report on confidentiality clauses

The National Student Ombudsman (NSO) has released its first public investigation report, into the use of confidentiality requirements in university complaint handling.

While confidentiality can help protect the integrity of a complaint process, unreasonable confidentiality requirements can silence complainants, including victim-survivors of gender-based violence.

The report made 7 formal recommendations.
