PAKISTAN | Awareness Seminar at Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Multan

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Multan, organized an awareness seminar to apprise women professionals and entrepreneurs of the free, impartial, and accessible services provided by the institution. Mr. Mahmood Javed Bhatti, Advisor, Regional Office Multan, briefed the participants on the mandate of the Ombudsman, the mechanisms for filing complaints, and the nature of cases addressed by the Office. He underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in administrative justice, while highlighting the institution’s role in safeguarding citizens’ rights.

The session was attended by 30–40 women representing diverse sectors. Key areas of discussion included the complaint registration process, platforms available for grievance redressal such as Helpline 1050, OPMIS Mobile App, and the official website ombudsmanpunjab.gov.pk, as well as notable success stories pertaining to women’s issues. Mr. Bhatti emphasized that empowering women through legal awareness is central to building a fair and inclusive governance framework. The Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed its support for continued collaboration in strengthening awareness among women across the province.
