AFRICA | AORC webinars to celebrate women Ombudsman

In celebration of the women’s month in South Africa, the African Ombudsman Research Centre (AORC), the training and research arm of the African Ombudsman and Mediators Association (AOMA), has planned a series of webinars for African Ombudsman and their staff.

The topic will be centred around the discussion of the challenges faced by women Ombudsman in a patriarchal African society and how woman Ombudsman can make a difference in the lives of the poor and marginalized.

These webinars are an excellent opportunity to discuss the challenges of women Ombudsman in a patriarchal African society, how these challenges are overcome and also to highlight the unique strengths that women Ombudsman are able to offer to make a difference in the lives of the poor and marginalized, as they often have a different approach to finding solutions to problems.

The webinars will enhance the capacity of Ombudsman throughout the continent in their tasks of making a positive difference in the lives of the poor and marginalized.

Kindly save the dates for the following webinars (links for registration will be shared soon):

  • English / Portuguese: Friday, 28 August 2020 (10 AM SA) GMT+2.

  • French / Arabic: Monday, 31 August 2020 (10 AM SA) GMT+2.
