On 7 August 2023, the Office of the Ombudsman administered the Oath of Secrecy to 40 of its members of staff and interns. The Director of Legal Services and Advisory, Chipiliro Mangulama, said the ceremony is in line with Section 10 of The Ombudsman Act, which stipulates the need for officers in the office of the Ombudsman to treat with utmost confidentiality any information made available to them in the course of their work.

On 20 June 2023, the Office of the Ombudsman of Israel celebrated "National Ombudsday", a day designated for enhancing public awareness of the Office of the Ombudsman and its activities, and the important work of sectoral ombudspersons and public inquiries commissioners in the various public bodies.

Ombudsman of the Republic of Malawi, Grace Tikambenji Malera, has released an investigation report on allegations of unprocedural auction sale/disposal of motor vehicles at The Central Medical Stores Trust (CMST) and abuse of power by some members of management in relation to the auction sale/disposal of the motor vehicles.
