El valedor do pobo, José Julio Fernández, completó hoy la tramitación parlamentaria del Informe Ordinario 2014 con su comparecencia ante el pleno de la Cámara gallega. Uno de los aspectos más destacables de la actividad del año 2014 tiene que ver con que cada vez más ciudadanos se dirigen al alto comisionado parlamentario para exponerle sus reclamaciones de manera colectiva.

2015-06-10Public service complaints to the Ombudsman rise by 11%
Complaints to the Ombudsman about public services rose by 11% to over 3,500 in 2014. Launching his annual report today (Wednesday 10 June) Ombudsman Peter Tyndall said the increase was mainly due to the additional 200 public bodies which came within his jurisdiction for a full year for the first time in 2014. These included bodies in the education sector such as the State Examinations Commission and Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI).

Regarding the IOI’s future communication strategy, the IOI Board of Directors agreed at its Vienna meeting in October 2014 that a re-launch of the IOI website was long overdue and should become the main priority of the IOI’s public relations work. IOI President John R. Walters is pleased to present the IOI’s new web appearance to the IOI community!

Los procesos de incapacitación judicial a menudo no investigan suficientemente la capacidad jurídica de la persona afectada. Diversas personas con discapacidad intelectual o psicosocial han solicitado la intervención del Síndic. El Comité de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad de la ONU recomendó en el año 2011 modificar la normativa electoral para garantizar el voto a las personas con discapacidad.

2015-05-29President Lauds Ombudsman`s role in disposing complaints within 60 days
While addressing members of the Federal Advisory Committee on Reforms and Speedy Complaint Resolution and Federal and Provincial Ombudsmen of Pakistan, the President of Pakistan expressed his appreciation of the concept of speedy resolution of complaints at the doorsteps of the common man, free of cost, evolved by the Ombudsmen and the committee. The Federal Advisory Committee comprises of eminent and renowned personalities of Pakistan with a record of public service in the country.

The public will be able to complain to the Ontario Ombudsman about school boards as of September 1, 2015, and about municipalities and universities as of January 1, 2016, now that the dates have been proclaimed for the relevant sections of the Ombudsman Act, 1990, the Public Sector and MPP Accountability and Transparency Act is coming into force.
