    Los contenedores de basura de la Ciudad no son accesibles para las personas con discapacidad

    La Dirección de Servicios Públicos dependiente de la Subsecretaría de Derechos Políticos y Ciudadanos de la Defensoría del Pueblo elaboró un informe en el que revela que las personas con discapacidad no pueden acceder a los contenedores de residuos sólidos urbanos existentes en la CABA.     Mr. Asad Ashraf  Malik, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh (Pakistan), received a complaint stating that the management of a sugar mill had been releasing contaminated water and toxic waste into the drain, which was hazardous to human health, livestock and marine life.

    Extension of term of Chief Ombudsman Dame Beverley Wakem

    The term of former IOI President and New Zealand Chief Ombudsman, Dame Beverley Wakem, is due to expire in March 2015. Given the fact that the Ombudsman’s Office is conducting an important review of the Official Information Act and currently also reviews its operating model, the Officers of Parliament Committee recommends an extension to the term of Chief Ombudsman Wakem until the end of 2015.

    In a public investigation report released on March 24, the Québec Ombudsman presented its findings and recommendations concerning the health services and social services provided to children under 18 years old with an intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder.
