Fundación Elkarte tiene como principal propósito la promoción social de personas vulnerables, en línea con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) relacionados con la pobreza, la educación y el trabajo inclusivo.

2024-08-23El Defensor del Pueblo propone limitar la obligación de devolver el Ingreso Mínimo Vital a hogares vulnerables
El Defensor del Pueblo acaba de iniciar una actuación de oficio que propone limitar, a través de una modificación legal, la obligación de devolver el Ingreso Mínimo Vital a hogares vulnerables cuando quede acreditada la buena fe de los beneficiarios o cuando el error sea atribuible a la Administración. La modificación legal propuesta afectaría también a otras ayudas asistenciales como pensiones no contributivas de invalidez o jubilación, o los subsidios de desempleo de larga duración.

Ms. Samadia Lightbourne, Senior Investigative Officer for the Office of the Complaints Commission in the Turks and Caicos Islands, participated in the annual Assembly and Seminar of the Institutie of the Latin-American Ombudsman (ILO), held from December 4-6, 2024 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. The event, located at the confluence of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, was graciously supported by Itaipú Binacional.

Mr. Mehmet AKARCA has been elected at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) as the new Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Türkiye. Mr. Mehmet Akarca was sworn in on 03 December 2024 and officially took office as the new Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye.

El Defensor del Pueblo, Eduardo Leblanc González, realizó una visita a las islas Casaya, Casayeta y Bolaños, en respuesta a una reunión previa con el comité de las islas, en donde los moradores habían expresado su preocupación por una serie de problemas, incluyendo la falta de agua y electricidad, escuelas en ruinas, y la apropiación ilegal de sus territorios.

2024-12-19Workshop held at Salim Habib University to select 10 students as ambassadors to Ombudsman Sindh
The 3rd round of the Workshop on the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh’s Ambassador Programme was held at Salim Habib University, Karachi, on 11 December 2024 to instill the concept of civic responsibilities and advocacy skills in the youth of Sindh by carrying out the community outreach of ombudsman mandate to student community and general public. The workshop, initiated through the Regional subsidy of the IOI, focused on the role of the Provincial Ombudsman Office in providing administrative justice to the public, and was chaired by the Honourable Ombudsman of Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput.

2024-12-19Successful completion of third phase of awareness campaign about role, responsibility and importance of Provincial Ombudsman
After successful completion of the 2nd phase of the project, the Hon'ble Provincial Ombudsman, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, decided to expand the awareness program throughout the province. Accordingly, different districts were visited for the purpose. So far, total 18 districts have been visited and awareness campaigns have been organized. This project has been sponsored by the IOI’s Regional Subsidy Programme.

Le jeudi 22 août 2024, Monsieur Kla Konan, Médiateur Délégué du N’Zi, de l’Iffou et du Moronou, accompagné des membres de sa délégation composée de Nanan Tangoua 2, président du comité de veille et de suivi de la situation de la cohésion sociale de Bocanda et chef du village d’Abéhanou, ainsi que Madame Mia N’guessan Charlotte, son assistante, ont séjourné dans la sous-préfecture de N’Zekrézessou (département de Bocanda). Cette sortie est la deuxième relative aux activités de renforcement de la proximité avec le corps préfectoral et les populations des différentes sous-préfectures de son ressort territorial.

Del 2018 a la fecha, la Comisión de Derechos Humanos de la Ciudad de México (CDHCM) ha registrado 224 quejas y ha emitido tres Recomendaciones donde se visibilizan casos de la discriminación, así como la Recomendación General 01/2021 con el propósito de atender problemáticas estructurales que padecen. En 2024 este Organismo presentó el Informe Temático: Derechos humanos de las personas en situación de calle de la Ciudad de México.

2024-08-23Defensoría del Pueblo inicia supervisión a 79 residencias estudiantiles ubicadas principalmente en regiones amazónicas del país
A raíz de las denuncias por violencia sexual contra niños y adolescentes indígenas awajún, la Defensoría del Pueblo inicia el 19 de agosto de 2024 una supervisión a 79 instituciones educativas públicas que implementan el modelo de servicio educativo de secundaria con residencia estudiantil, las mismas que se ubican mayormente en regiones amazónicas del país. El objetivo de la supervisión será verificar las condiciones de acceso, permanencia y logro de aprendizajes, así como las condiciones en que viven los estudiantes y las medidas que se han adoptado para proteger su integridad.
