Ce cours enseigne des techniques avancées d’enquête qui s’appuient sur les modèles probants conçus par l’Ombudsman de l’Ontario pour la conduite des enquêtes systémiques.

Guido van Woerkom elected as National Ombudsman
Guido van Woerkom has been elected by Parliament as the new National Ombudsman of the Netherlands. Mr Van Woerkom follows former Nation Ombudsman Alex Brenninkmeijer and will take office in November 2014.

Conformément aux dispositions de la loi qui l’institue, le Médiateur de la République, Baba Akhib HAÏDARA a présenté le 29 mai 2014 les rapports 2012 et 2013 au Président de la République. La cérémonie s’est déroulée en présence du Premier Ministre, de certains membres du Gouvernement, des membres du cabinet présidentiel et des collaborateurs du Médiateur.

In an intervention report released today, the Québec Ombudsman concludes that admission in December 2011 of a foreign national in a Montreal Health Care institution occurred outside normal channels and without government supervision.

Le Protecteur du citoyen du Québec demande un encadrement équitable et rigoureux de l’accueil de patients étrangers
Dans un rapport d’intervention rendu public aujourd’hui, le Protecteur du citoyen du Québec conclut que l’admission pour des soins de santé d’une ressortissante étrangère dans un hôpital montréalais, en décembre 2011, s’est faite en dehors des mécanismes habituels d’accès et de tout encadrement gouvernemental. Il craint que la normalisation d’une telle pratique crée des iniquités sur les listes d’attente d’un réseau déjà sollicité de toutes parts.

IOI supports idea of establishing Ombudsman institution in Chile
During the last electoral campaign in Chile, the electoral programmes of both presidential candidates considered the establishment of an Ombudsman institution as one of the oldest and most important instruments for a modern democratic society. The IOI strongly supports the idea of establishing such an ombudsman institution and sent a letter of support to President Michelle Bachelet.

Durante la última campaña electoral, ambas candidatas presidenciales han contemplado en sus respectivos programas la creación de la Defensoría del Pueblo, una de las figuras más importantes de la democracia moderna. El IIO apoya firmemente la idea de dotar a Chile de una institución tan importante y envió una carta de apoyo a la creación de una Defensoría del Pueblo en Chile a la Presidencia de la República de Chile.

16e anniversaire de l’Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie
Le 20 mai marquait l’anniversaire de la fondation de l’AOMF. Si 18 membres fondateurs adoptèrent les premiers Statuts, le 20 mai 1998 à Nouakchott en Mauritanie, c’est aujourd’hui une cinquantaine de membres provenant d’Afrique, d’Amérique, d’Asie, et d’Europe qui travaillent quotidiennement à l’amélioration de la qualité des services publics.

Seimas Ombudsmen introduced English summary of annual report 2013
The Seimas Ombudsmen’s Office has introduced an English Summary of the annual report of the activities of the Seimas Ombudsmen’s Office of the Republic of Lithuania in 2013. The Annual Report was presented by the Seimas Ombudsmen Augusitnas Normantas and Raimondas Šukys and approved by the Seimas (Parliament) on 3 June, 2014.

Wafaqi Mohtasib critizises delay in finalization of pension cases
The Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. M. Salman Faruqui, taking cognizance of media reports regarding the sudden death of a retired employee of Pakistan Railways seeking approval of his pension case, has directed the Pakistan Railways to ensure finalization of pension cases of their employees at least six months before the date of their retirement. Similarly, the other federal government departments have also been asked to follow this practice.
