Secretary General visits Dublin
Peter Tyndall, newly elected President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) welcomed IOI Secretary General Günther Kräuter to the Ombudsman offices on Leeson Street on 31 January 2017. Mr Kräuter was accompanied by members of the IOI Secretarial Staff.

People warming their hands over fire built in petrol drums in refugee camps should be able to find help and humanity in Europe, whose economy is second in the world and where countries are not at war. This is explained by the Ombudsman of Spain in a case study on “Asylum in Spain: International protection and reception system resources” presented and defended recently at the Spanish Parliament.
