Está disponible el cuaderno de la Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación (PPN) sobre “Procedimientos de Registro Personal y Requisa en Cárceles Federales”. El estudio recupera y sintetiza el trabajo realizado por la PPN respecto a la cuestión de las requisas, pone especial énfasis en destacar la distancia entre los derechos y garantías de las personas privadas de su libertad reconocidos a nivel constitucional y legal e incluye el proyecto legislativo presentado por este organismo ante el Congreso en octubre de 2016.

Las muertes bajo custodia son siempre responsabilidad del Estado
El 2 de marzo se desató un incendio en la Comisaría 1ª de la Policía Bonaerense en la Cuidad de Pergamino. En la celda colectiva donde ninguna persona debería haber estado detenida, porque es esa una función propia de la agencia penitenciaria, convivían 19 personas, todas ellas detenidas cautelarmente. Siete de ellas murieron. La Procuración Penitenciaria de la Nación (PPN) viene alertando año tras año el incremento de la cantidad de personas detenidas en las cárceles federales argentinas, sobrepasando su capacidad de alojamiento declarada.
