2015-03-24Extension of term of Chief Ombudsman Dame Beverley Wakem
The term of former IOI President and New Zealand Chief Ombudsman, Dame Beverley Wakem, is due to expire in March 2015. Given the fact that the Ombudsman’s Office is conducting an important review of the Official Information Act and currently also reviews its operating model, the Officers of Parliament Committee recommends an extension to the term of Chief Ombudsman Wakem until the end of 2015.

2021-04-13Independent National Whistleblowing Officer service for the NHS launches
Today marks the launch of the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer (INWO) service for the NHS in Scotland. The date coincides with the implementation of the new National Whistleblowing Standards (the Standards) which also go live today. This was previously agreed by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO), who will take on the new role of INWO.
