The Office of the Turkish Ombudsman will hold the 4th International Symposium on Ombudsman Institutions in Ankara from 2 – 3 March 2017. Under the motto “Migration and Refugees” this year’s symposium will tackle issues such as countries’ policies on refugees, vulnerable groups, xenophobia, racism and islamophobia.

Bangkok 2016 - Conference Papers
The 11thIOI World Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand in November 2016. Under the general motto of "Evolution of Ombudsmanship", delegates and observers from all over the world discussed a great variety of Ombudsman-related matters. New Acting Correctional Investigator of Canada appointed
Dr. Ivan Zinger has been appointed as the Acting Correctional Investigator of Canada. The duration of this appointment is for a term of one year or until such time that a new Correctional Investigator is appointed. Mr Zinger followed Howard Sapers, who was appointed Independent Advisor on Corrections Reform to the Ontario provincial government and who had served as the Correctional Investigator from 2004 to 2016.
