2011-06-28Le Médiateur demande à la Commission de clarifier les informations sur les niveaux de contamination des aliments après l'accident nucléaire de Fukushima
Le Médiateur européen, P. Nikiforos Diamandouros, a demandé à la Commission européenne de fournir des informations claires concernant les niveaux maximaux admissibles de contamination radioactive des denrées alimentaires dans l'UE avant et après l'accident de Fukushima au Japon. La démarche du Médiateur fait suite à plusieurs plaintes de citoyens suggérant l'existence d'un manque d'informations au sujet des modifications apportées aux niveaux maximaux admissibles. Le Médiateur attend une réponse de la Commission d'ici le 30 juin 2011.

Ombudsman and Ministry of Health and Population train South East Zone Hospital Ombudsman
In its continued efforts in improving health service delivery the Office of the Ombudsman (OoO) in collaboration with the Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Health and Population is conducting a training for Hospital Ombudsman from the South East zone health facilities. The training was held at Palm Valley Lodge in Thyolo from the 17th to 18th of April, 2019.

Manitoba Ombudsman releases a report under PHIA about a privacy breach related to MRI services
Manitoba Ombudsman has released an investigation report under the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) related to the unauthorized disclosure of personal health information of 91 patients who received magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) between 2008 and 2016. The patients’ health information was disclosed in violation of PHIA to several media organizations.
