After the Government brought back the quarantine regime and re-introduction more intensive restrictions on human rights and freedoms throughout the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, the Seimas Ombudsman Augustinas Normantas presented a report assessing the compliance of emergency management measures that were introduced in March this year with human rights and freedoms.

Virtual consultation for the IE SOGI’s work plan 2021-2023
The Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity (IE SOG”) is convening an open consultation to consolidate the mandate’s approaches and priorities for the remainder of tenure (i.e. his work plan for 2021-2023). A virtual consultation will be held on 20 November 2020 where participants are invited to present their views and provide inputs to the discussion.
