Do children have the right to health in psychiatric hospitals?
In 2018 Ombudsman of the Republic of Latvia monitored all six hospitals in Latvia, where in-patient psychiatric treatment of children is provided. During these monitoring visits Ombudsman examined treatment and other conditions of children in these hospitals.

Defensores del Pueblo de todo el país se reunieron con la Inspección General de Justicia para abordar la problemática del aumento de las cuotas
Los representantes de la Asociación de Defensores del Pueblo de la República Argentina (Adpra) mantuvieron un encuentro con el titular de la Inspección General de Justicia (IGJ) a quien le entregaron una propuesta elaborada por las defensorías donde propusieron diferentes maneras de abordar la problemática surgida por los incrementos desproporcionados en las cuotas de los planes de autos 0 kilómetro.

Ombudsman Hong Kong published Brief Report 2018
The Ombudsman of Hong Kong, Ms Connie Lau, published the Office of The Ombudsman’s Brief Report 2018 on 31 January. The Office received a total of 10,130 enquiries and 4,870 complaints in 2018. The figures were at similar levels to those in the past few years, with an average of 850 enquiries and 400 complaints per month.
