2021-03-16Mokhammad Najih appointed as new Chairman of Ombudsman office
Parliament appointed Mr Mokhammad Najih as the new Chairman of the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia. Mr Najih, who succeeds Prof. Rifai in the position as Chairman of the institution, assumed office on 22 February 2021 together with Vice-Chairman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus and nine Ombudsman colleagues, who were all appointed by Parliament for the term 2021-2026.

Tras la intervención de la sede de la Defensoría del Pueblo en Huanta, se ha podido advertir que las disposiciones dictadas por el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones para reglamentar la Ley 29237, que crea el Sistema Nacional de Inspecciones Técnicas Vehiculares, no facilita ni garantiza que los vehículos menores, más conocidos como “mototaxis”, pasen por la respectiva inspección técnica vehicular.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Citizens' Ombudsman Commission since it was launched for the first time among local governments of Republic of Korea in February 2016 as an independent collegiate administrative agency. The Control Yuan (CY) has made the provision of diverse services a policy goal and been dedicated to the implementation of receiving complaints via videoconferencing. On 27 January 2021, the CY received its first inmate videoconference petition. This practice enables inmates deprived of physical and communication freedom to file complaints to CY members via videoconference.
