Regarding the IOI’s future communication strategy, the IOI Board of Directors agreed at its Vienna meeting in October 2014 that a re-launch of the IOI website was long overdue and should become the main priority of the IOI’s public relations work. Le 11 mars 2021, le gouvernement arménien a proposé à l’Assemblée nationale de la République d’Arménie un amendement de la loi constitutionnelle sur le Défenseur des droits de l’Homme. Le Président de l’AOMF, Mohamed Benalilou, au nom de tous les membres, a écrit et publié une lettre ouverte dans le but de faire savoir au Président de l’assemblée nationale arménienne “la nécessité impérieuse de prendre en considération les principes et instruments internationaux susvisés et la pertinence fondamentale du maintien des dispositions de l’article 8 (5) de la loi constitutionnelle en question.”

Open letter concerning Mediterranean refugee crisis
The tragic events of the past months where hundreds of people lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea have filled the world with tremendous shock. Behind this humanitarian disaster lies a deep human rights crisis, where migrants try to flee from war or poverty. The IOI therefore calls on its members in an open letter to encourage their respective governments and administrations to join forces to find solutions for this refugee crisis.

La Defensora de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes de la Provincia de Santa Fe a cargo de la Defensoría del Pueblo Zona Sur, Analía Colombo, expuso este jueves en la VI Asamblea General del Instituto Latinoamericano del Ombudsman–Defensor del Pueblo. Vigorous activities by the Seimas Ombudsmen raise public awareness about the Seimas Ombudsmen`s Office
More than a half (54%) of Lithuanian residents would know where to find protection against human rights violations, as many as 42% would seek help from the Seimas Ombudsmen. Those are the findings of a representative survey of the population commissioned by the Seimas Ombudsmen’s Office, carried out at the end of last year.
