In October 2015, representatives of national institutions of 20 countries of the world unanimously adopted the Kyiv Declaration on the "Role of NHRIs in Conflict and Post-conflict Situations" following results of work of a two-day international conference of the same name.

Le bureau de l'Ombud publie un rapport sur le soutien par les pairs pour les vétérans ayant subi un traumatisme sexuel militaire
Le Bureau de l’ombud des vétérans (BOV) a publié aujourd’hui son rapport intitulé Soutien par les pairs pour les vétérans ayant subi un traumatisme sexuel militaire. Le BOV recommande au ministre des Anciens Combattants de mettre en place un programme de soutien par les pairs financé qui répond aux besoins des vétérans qui ont subi un TSM.

Ombudsman for Wales finds "catalogue of failings" by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in recent report
A 71-year-old cancer patient died after a Health Board provided her with a “very poor standard of care”, the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has found. The Ombudsman launched an investigation after receiving a complaint about the care given to Mrs X (anonymised) in December 2019 by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

Ombudsman’s staff attends training on monitoring the rights of the child
In recent days, the Ombudsman Office in coordination with UNICEF country office launched five day training on increasing capacities to monitor the child rights for the members of the national preventive group and heads of the Regional Offices of the Ombudsman. UNICEF international experts Mr. Reider Hiermann and Ms. Anna Nordenmark were involved into this event as trainers.

11th World Conference 2016 – Save the Date
The 11th IOI World Conference will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 13 to 19 November 2016. The Office of the Ombudsman of Thailand will be the host of this quadrennial event which – for the first time – will be held within the Asian Region of the IOI.
