Municipal administration hands over kiosks to complainant on order of Provincial Ombudsman Sindh
Several complainants approached Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Mr Asad Ashraf Malik, stating that they had deposited Rs.57,000/- each to Municipal Administration Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town for the allotment of small shops (kiosks), but they were neither provided the kiosks nor did they receive a refund of their deposited money.

Commissioner on social care workers’ wage system
In the recent months the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights has received several complaints concerning the wage system of social care workers. The complaints referred to the fact that, as far as remuneration is concerned, social care workers are not treated in the same way as those working in the healthcare system and licenced by the Office of Health Authorisation and Administrative Procedures.

The current term of office of New South Wales Ombudsman Bruce Barbour ended on 30 June 2015. After 15 years in office, Mr Barbour will be succeeded by Prof. John McMillan, who will commence a two year term as Acting Ombudsman on 1 August 2015.

Child death review team annual report 2012
The NSW Child Death Review Team’s Annual Report for 2012 was tabled in Parliament today by the Team’s Convenor, the NSW Ombudsman. The report examines the deaths of 493 children registered in NSW in 2012. ‘The rate of child deaths is the lowest since the Team began in 1996,’ said the Ombudsman, Bruce Barbour.
